Thesis
A tactical supply-disruption basket. Brent closed at $116.72 on 23 October, its highest since April, and the IEA expects a deficit through year-end. Producers, tankers, and fertilizer capture the premium across the chain.
Risks
A durable reopening removes the premium. The EIA expects most Gulf output back by mid-2027 and Brent near $74 by Q4 2027. Treat it as a time-limited hedge with a review date. Figures as of November 2026.
